The Annual Fund — A Foundation for Fundraising Success

A strong annual fund program is increasingly crucial in today’s environment of shrinking bottom lines, stretched budgets and growing competition for charitable dollars. The Foundation Office’s ability to deliver substantial unrestricted and restricted annual fund dollars to the general fund is a high priority for the Foundation Board and staff.

While studies may indicate that donors are becoming more interested in restricted or special gifts, continued emphasis on the importance of the annual fund must be an ongoing educational activity. At most colleges and universities, the annual fund provides budget strengthening dollars for enhancing a quality educational experience for students. This source of revenue provides resources to supplement tuition, books and fees for students attending our institution.

The annual fund is the most effective program to increase the donor base, cultivate major supporters and provide a dependable and reoccurring income stream for foundation operations. A strong annual fund provides resources to equip and educate the leaders of tomorrow. Everyone can be apart of this program by supporting the “Thrive On Excellence” campaign which runs September through May of each year.

Torch Light Society
“Keeping The Torch Lit For Future Generations”

Saint Paul College is one of the most important assets of the City of Saint Paul and its surrounding area. For more than 80 years, all of us have been a part of the various transitions this institution has made to become one of the most dynamic two-year schools of higher learning in Minnesota. We have not only assisted students, we have supported families, secondary schools, programs and communities. All for two reasons … Saint Paul and its students!

We are pleased to announce that the Saint Paul College Foundation is developing the “Torch Light Society.” This society will consist of a distinguished group of friends who wish to leave a gift to the institution in their estate plans. An estate gift is a powerful contribution. The value is considerably greater than an annual gift and its worth will be more significant to the institution. An estate gift will secure the future for Saint Paul College, its programs, and most importantly, its mission.
