Benefits To the College
The College will benefit from the Student Ambassador Program as a result of the unique interaction that occurs between a current student and a prospective student. This relationship will frequently influence a prospective student and their final decision to attend the institution. There is a feeling of camaraderie between people who have common goals and circumstances. These are relationships that cannot be built between the professional representatives of the College and a prospective student.
Benefits To the Student
The student will benefit beyond the monetary reward for their efforts. A student participating in the program will have the opportunity to learn more about the College, its programs, policies and processes on their way to imparting this information to our prospective students. In addition, they will acquire such customer service skills as public speaking, interpersonal communication, problem solving and public relations. A sense of ownership in the admissions activities of the College will also go a long way in serving the interests of the student and the institution as well.
Benefits To Business and Industry
Current and potential employers will have Saint Paul College students communicating with prospective students about the College and its affiliated industry partners. It is excellent advertising for all businesses involved with the College.
Funding
The proceeds of the Annual Golf Extravaganza will be contributed to the Student Ambassador Fund. The Foundation Board, the Saint Paul College Student Life Director will determine the number of ambassadors, their responsibilities and the amount of their stipend.
