Lynn Poth has been teaching in the Medical Laboratory Technician program at Saint Paul College since 2001. Prior experience in her field includes 15 years as a Medical Technologist working in clinical laboratories, including teaching laboratory students as bench faculty during their internships.
As an instructor, Lynn enjoys seeing students who enter our program with the desire to enter the medical laboratory profession, leaving the program with not just the desire, but with the skills and knowledge that will make them successful – then seeing the success of past students as they continue their careers in the field. She also loves biology and the lab, so teaching biology related courses - which clinical laboratory curriculum certainly is full of - and having the chance to set up and work through labs with students, is actually a lot of fun!
Lynn’s professional affiliations include the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCP), American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and American Society for Microbiology (ASM). She has received Laboratory Certification through ASCP Board of Registry as a Medical Technologist – MT(ASCP).
She received a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from University of Texas at El Paso, El Paso, TX, and a Masters of Science in Medical Technology from University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND.
